Wang Wei was a famous poet in the heyday of Tang Dynasty. He became famous in poems when he was young, went to Chang'an for fame at the age of fifteen, and became a scholar at the age of twenty-one. His career path was not smooth. He was expatriate in Jizhou, and also served as an envoy outside the Great Wall. After suffering from Zhang Jiuling's dismissal of the situation and the Anshi Rebellion, he was half-official and half-hidden in Lantian Wangchuan. Wang Wei's poems and paintings are unique. His landscape paintings are highly respected by later generations. His poems embodied emotions in the scenery, blended with nature, and showed no trace. Su Shi commented on Wang Wei that "e; reading Mojie's poems, there are paintings in the poems, and observing the paintings, there are poems in the paintings"e;.
