In Powerlifting, as it also happens in Olympic Lifting, there has always been a clear phenomenon: the smaller competitors lift way more than the heavier ones when you take into account bodyweight. That is, the percentage of bodyweight lifted... it is only in Powerlifting and Olympic Lifting that the strength and power of the little guy is still remembered, and that is only in their "lesser", or better said lighter classes.
