In 1983 Jamie Days' Nana bought him a tiny 'Grange Hill' Collins diary for Christmas. He 'diligently' kept entries for the year, documenting his Star Wars collection, the injustices he faced at the hands of teachers and parents and the fall-outs with friends. He also read the infamous 'Secret Diary of Adrian Mole' which influenced the secrets he would commit to paper with biros and felt-tip pens. By the time he stopped keeping a diary in 1987 he was almost 14.
