Jason loathes the idea of moving to Africa. All he can think about is it has wild animals and cannibals. However, he is left with no choice. His father is a missionary doctor and has accepted a post in Kikuyu, Kenya. When he and his father arrive at Kikuyu, he instantly loves the place more than he likes to admit. With his outgoing personality, he makes a lot of friends from the neighborhood and school. In one of his father s church s celebrations, he meets Paulina through his friend, Philip. Her exquisite beauty and grace captivates him. Paulina has been open about her attraction to him. Unfortunately, Paulina is duty-bound to follow an age-old custom which forbids her to engage in a romantic relationship with someone outside her culture.
