Jason loathes the idea of moving to Africa. All he can think about is it has wild animals and cannibals. However, he has no choice. His father, who is a missionary doctor, has accepted a post in Kikuyu, Kenya. When he and his father arrive at Kikuyu, he instantly loves the place more than he likes to admit. With his outgoing personality, Jason soon makes a lot of new friends from the neighborhood and school. In one of his father's church's celebrations, he meets Paulina through his friend, Philip.
