Floods in Uzbekistan

Climate change has led to an increase in extreme events on a global scale. Precipitation results in the formation of floods and inundations. Rapidly developing floods lead to inundation of settlements and territories, causing economic and social damage to the population. Rainfall briefly raises the water level in rivers. On the basis of the analysis of floods occurrence the materials of flooding and mudflow phenomena on the territory of Uzbekistan are given.Climate change has led to an increase in extreme events on a global scale.
