Journal of Rachel Wilson Moore, Kept During a Tour to the West Indies and South America, in 1863-64

Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. Having been absent during the summer of 1863 for the purpose of improving impaired health of myself, when, on returning from the Catskill Mountains, instead of being benefited, fever, cough, and lassitude took hold of the system to that extent that we believed nothing short of going to a warmer climate, before the commencement of winter, would prove availing.
