The Williams Family and a Curious Stinky Minky: When animals teach us the importance of having fun and being curious

This sweet little rhyme is but a reminder of our life with a very eccentric, fun-loving, loyal and curious ferret named Bogus Minky Hoffensteaders Williams. Rarely did we purchase animals from pet stores, as most of the Williams' animals just 'showed up'. However, to resist a ferret playing is folly and a near impossibility, and this one was no exception. Mom and Dad knew that leaving the store without this guy was not a battle they were going to win with their children. Everyone who met 'the Mink' loved him, but so often you'd hear other parents say, "I'm glad my son can play with a ferret at YOUR house." He reinforced some of our basic human characteristics by example. He was the master of fun, spontaneity, and curiosity... things we could all do a little more of in life.
