The Life and Loves of a Countryman

This is the story of my life and loves. For my love of three young women, my love of shooting, horse racing, fishing, and travel. The periods in this book are from my birth under the shadow of Cross Fell in 1927, 'till my departure from England in 1977 as tax exile. I think you will enjoy the various stories as my life unfolds, as much as I have enjoyed living them.

About the Author

Joey Swinbank-Slack, a retired farmer and landowner from Cumberland, North England, lived his life with a love of sports, travel, shooting, fishing, racing, and cigars. At the age of 96, he is writing the story of his life full of adventures and his great love story of seventy years.
