The King, the Fool and I: An Adolescents Journey of Self Discovery

Yogi was born to an alcoholic mother who lost all four of her infant children to the Department of Children and Youth Services. He was raised in foster homes, group homes and emergency shelters until he was awarded his emancipation at the age of seventeen. The very day of emancipation, Yogi made a decision to undertake a foolish and perilous journey; a journey that would literally save his life. In this personal account, Yogi shares and reflects on a journey that took him across the continent, through adolescence into adulthood, and every pivotal moment that created who he is 'being' today. This is his humble story; an extraordinary adventure punctuated by perseverance, and personal triumph. "I am NOT the choices I've made. I am so much more than that.
