Dust on the Sea

An action story should be read quickly; and this one, which is jam-packed with excitement, is read almost frenetically. In this quintessential WWII offering, the listener follows British commando Michael Blackwood from Burma to North Africa and finally to Sicily on mission after mission in advance of Allied Forces fighting to take back lost territories. This story has all the elements of a battlefield soap opera - love, revenge, heroism, but most of all, irony - and Rintoul's crisp, quick narration captures each moment. Rintoul's deliberate British accent lends credibility to the drama.
