"e;I Believe In Destiny"e; is a short autobiography about a child from a northern Portuguese town who wins an academic scholarship and moves to a city near Lisbon. She meets the love of her life during the Portuguese revolution of 1974. She moves to the United States with her family after she graduated in 1976. Her boyfriend flies over the Atlantic to marry her the following year. It is a story of triumph over poverty and struggle.
