Chasing the Rain

As the sweet scent of rain drifts over the savannah, the herd stirs with excited anticipation for the start of their newest pilgrimage. But for young wildebeest Berko, the rains this season smell bitter; the winds carry changes he doesn't feel ready to face.As the son of Imamu, the herds' greatest leader, Berko has spent his entire life hidden in his fathers' large, protective shadow. But this year he must take part in a brutal rite of passage that will mark the end of his childhood and secure his own position within the herd.
