We Become Who We Are When is a fully illustrated picture book that encourages young readers to find their inner hero and see their own self-worth.

In this dialogue between a father and his son Tom, his father provides motivational and encouraging answers to Tom's questions. This book considers questions about prejudice and self-worth any 8 year old may have, when teased by his classmates. Tom's father gives him tips and insight that hopefully Tom will remember for his lifetime.
