Undergraduate Nursing Students' Perspectives on Professional Choice

Professional choice is understood as an expression of a remarkable period in the individual's life, sometimes experienced with fear and anxiety. Considering the unconscious processes, the importance of elucidating these facts is conceived, enabling the subject to understand what acts on him in the sphere of professional choice, so that the individual can access part of this truth, revealing to himself the real reasons for these choices. This book sets out to delve deeper into the object of study in the search for an understanding of the reality experienced. This fact is permeated by transformations that require a vision focussed on the multiple types of knowledge that prepare professionals to work in different social contexts. The students' perspectives on training and their professional future addressed the determining factors for making a professional choice, the difficulties encountered during the course, their expectations of the course, considering the degree of satisfaction and their perception of their professional future in relation to entering the labour market. We hope to contribute to their professional success in terms of choice and professional fulfilment.
