The Journey Home

The Journey Home is a grasp for understanding life's complications. Each story is a separate journey showing a segment, a stage of life. They reflect growth that develops with the interference of human nature combined with the necessity of living in harmony with mother nature. Judy Monroe explores her experiences of attending a one-room school, her attempts toward education, and her marriage to a seasonal National Park Service ranger, George. She shares teaching middle school for thirty years, and the joy of a mule ride at Death Valley, among other stories. Married right out of college, the young couple share adventures while working at four national parks, one park just a little more dangerous than the last.
