SLATTS, MI6 Spectral Department
The spies at MI6 didn't do their homework when it came to recruiting Arthur Sidney Slatts as an agent. They thought that his job in a market stall in Fulham, London, gave him a network of underworld contacts. Despite Slatts's keenness for the job, it takes the higher-ups a total of two days to realize that Slatts knows absolutely no one who could be of use.
Instead of admitting its mistakes, MI6 puts him in the Dispatch Department, which serves as a glorified mailroom. Slatts toils in the department until he receives a call to action. MI6 has set up a special "Spectral Department" and wants his help. Someone is putting forged five-pound notes into general circulation, and Slatts is the only man who can stop it.
Luckily, this unlucky spy has some help from the most unlikely of sources. Charles and Cobbs are two actual specters They hail from the White Room, a heaven specifically for BBC radio comedians. The two ghosts have been tasked with helping Slatts track down the source of the fake notes, and all three will have the adventure of their lives (and deaths)
