Vasily Vasilyevich Andreev is a balalaika virtuoso, public figure, organizer and conductor of the great Russian orchestra of folk instruments. He devoted his whole life trying to revive the tradition of playing the balalaika. The lack of professional music for folk instruments prompted Andreev to create pieces for balalaika and piano, most of which are waltzes. His writings are currently popular both in the author's form and as a game for orchestra various compositions.
