Where did this custom of cutting faces into pumpkins begin? That is where Peter comes in. Peter was a most unusual pumpkin - a magical pumpkin. Peter came into the world with the ability to see, hear, feel, think and talk. Peter had a most beautiful face, but his face could only be seen if he was loved.
