Admiral Horatio Nelson's time had come. Joining the British navy at age twelve and

advancing all the way to Admiral, he became Britain's most celebrated naval hero.

Storied naval victories at places like Cape St. Vincent in Portugal, the Nile delta in Egypt, and the Cape of Trafalgar in Spain, would make him a celebrity. He also saw crushing defeats and lost the vision in one eye and most of his right arm. The French Revolution had spawned the Napoleonic wars with tremendous loss of life throughout Europe. Horatio was there to ensure no invasion of Britain. He was determined to

vanquish all foes of his beloved England and he would lose his life in service of King and country.
