PRP showed a positive potential to accelerate the rate of tooth movement when injected in the first 2 months. The use of i-PRF, a multidisciplinary technique that combines orthodontics and surgery, may help to speed up OTM, especially in extraction instances. PRP injection is a simple and safe way to accelerate canine retraction without compromising root length. Although PRF enhanced tooth movement, there were no differences in speed, quantity, duration, or periodontal characteristics during canine distalisation.
