The second edition of District Health Care brings together a great deal of field experience gained from different countries in the development of Primary Health Care. At the same time, new development and methods of management have been described together with their application in health. More significantly, whilst maintaining the convergence between behavioural and social sciences and management, the book heads in a new direction, that is, the convergence between health management and the epidemiological sciences. This is identified as the growing point in the past decade and is likely to continue to develop well into the 21st century.
