'This book narrates the birth of Siddhartha Gautama in Lumbani. Nepal. How he left his kingdom and wandered for six years in search of escape from suffering - a path to liberation. He found them in Bodh Gaya. He became the Buddha and he preached them to the world.

The author has explained his teachings - the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path in simple language. Buddha preached the Middle Path which any person can easily follow.

Buddhism spread beyond India. The book explores Buddhism's expansion from India to neighbouring countries in Asia where it was adopted with local adaptations. The result? A message of peace and compassion deeply ingrained.
