Appiah on Solidarity & Mill on Individuality

This work is a reflection on the problem of solidarity and individuality which seems to be two competing systems of values. Having read this work, one is lead to appreciate the values of solidarity and communitarianism as contrasted to individuality and liberalism. One is further guided in understanding toleration as a bridge between two systenms of value. A critical reflection on the notion of toleration, it acts as the anchor to the conflicting systems of value of solidarity and individuality on human beings in the community.
