Alcoholism and its repercussions on family daily life

The present study points out the influences of alcohol on family relationships. This is a qualitative research of exploratory and descriptive nature, carried out with 11 families registered at the Family Health Unit Dr. Aur lio Schiarreta, located in the municipality of Jequi /BA. Taking into account the growing consumption of alcohol by society, understanding how alcohol dependence can affect families is of great value. The reflections obtained from this study demonstrate that alcoholism is a disease that affects not only the alcoholic but also his entire family.
