After the Storm: Still a Promise

This is my story, but it is replicated to some degree every day, regardless of race, religion, gender or country of birth. I want people to know that they can be free of guilt and shame, and that they can be loved for who they really are. I had to realize who I was created to be and accept that I was worth being pursued by God so that I could be loved. Once we're able to accept God's love, we can accept love from others. We can relax and enjoy ourselves. We can give just as freely as we have received. We are limitless. We are powerful. We change the world. God's love does that. It's the most dominant, authoritative and gentle force we will ever encounter. Embracing God can straight out terrify us, give us goosebumps, and rock us to sleep, all at the same time. I pray that sharing my journey will help others come into Father God's arms.
