What causes a father to disappear from his family, move to South America and be untraceable for nearly sixty years.? This is the story of our amazing journey, in search of this man, taking us from Norfolk, England to Argentina and to Scotland.
From the shadows of time, there emerged a tale of adventure, hardship and tragedy. Here was a man who had single minded, lived the life he chose, freely in the manner he wished. The life of the Scottish 'gringo' in Argentina proved to be a remarkable tale and one which touched the lives of others. Few knew of the life he had left behind.
Many wondered what had driven this Scotsman to purse his dreams, to abandon his family and to adopt Patagonia as his beloved home. For him the forests, the rivers and the beautiful landscapes of Patagonia were his passion and raison d'etre.
