A Rose in the Ruins

How do you survive WWII? Growing up, my parents (especially my dad) have retold their experiences all through my life. It's not until you get older that you begin to

understand the scope of extreme pain and suffering.

A rose's stem has many thorns as it grows, as life does as well sometimes, but it blooms into a beautiful, fragrant flower. By God's grace and blessings, everything is possible.

Jean (Kasperczyk) Metcalfe is a semi-retired Registered Practical Nurse, whose career spans forty years at Trenton Memorial Hospital and Belleville General Hospital. She currently works at a nursing home. She has two grown daughters and six grandkids she adores.
