Born and raised in witchcraft, Biko knew no other way of life than that of sorcery. This was part of his inheritance - given as a gift - from both his father and grandfather. Even though casting spells came easily and naturally to him, there were people whom he couldn't fully affect with his magic. In fact, when they spoke to him, fire would come out of their mouths and their eyes would blaze with fire. They quickly became a threat to his life. Biko knew he had to find a way to put an end to this threat.In this book, Biko invites us to see his world, the spirit world from a sorcerer's perspective. Consequently, he lifts the veil that separates the natural world from the spiritual world as he narrates his story. He did not choose this life; this life chose him.
