Youth employment and training mismatches in Côte d'Ivoire

The aim of this study is to analyze the determining factors of the mismatch between training and employment at the level of young people in C te d'Ivoire. The data used come from the ENSESI2016 and ENE2019 surveys. Three (3) concepts were specifically addressed: insertion, mismatch and time-related underemployment. We measured mismatch using two methods: a subjective method and a statistical method.In order to analyze the determining factors of the inadequacy situation of young people, a binary logit model was estimated by inputting marital status, gender, place of residence, type of employment and branch of activity to see the effect exerted by these variables on the inadequacy situation of young people in C te d'Ivoire.
