Young People and the Environment

This text describes the environmental awareness, knowledge, beliefs, attitudes, and behaviour of young people in 12 countries in the Asia-Pacific region and the cultural context in which these attitudes have been shaped. The findings are based on over 10,000 questionnaire surveys together with focus group studies in India, South China, Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Brunei, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and the west coast of the US.
