Many non-Christians often refuse to give the Christian faith an honest hearing because of the mistaken conviction that to become a Christian is to commit intellectual suicide. For them, Christianity is something akin to old-fashioned superstition and fantasy, whereas they live in the realm of the "real world" which "deals with reason, evidence, and cold hard facts."
