In 2061 a United Galactic Treaty Organization (UGATO) science vessel, MSB-4, was two years into a five year survey mission in the Perseus Arm of the Milky Way Galaxy. Its last movement report was five months late. The arrival of the ships automated emergency distress probe at its home base squawking the code Gamma-two confirmed UGATO's worst fears.
