World in Conflict, 1914-1945

There have been many narratives of World War I and World War II; World in Conflict , however, is a chronology spanning the entire period of 41 years, complemented by more than 900 photographs and maps. It presents not only the events of the two world wars, but also of the interwar period, when there was fighting and political upheaval in many areas of the world, from Russia to Spain to China. The strictly chronological approach of World in Conflict allows the reader to comprehend the key battles on land, at sea, and in the air, on all fronts across the international arena. Major battles are presented in map form for ease of understanding. Strategic moves and political events across the globe are detailed day by day, month by month. Headings within each date entry enable the reader to trace the history of a particular theater of war or campaign throughout the narrative.
