The association believes in the scientific construction of packing boxes. It believes that the dissemination of knowl edge among box users, as well as manufacturers, as to what has already been accomplished and what is now being done along the lines of Scientific research in box construction, is to the mutual advantage of all. Such knowledge enlarges the field of usefulness of the wooden box, and leads to conserva tion of material and lowering of costs, all of which tends to stabilize the use of wooden boxes, and the business of the manufacturer. This is the reason for publishing this book.
