Woke

Woke: A Poetic Journey was written during a time of reflection and self-discovery, and through my writing I found the sense of healing that I needed. This book was purposely written in different stages of awareness to display the various levels of understanding that are present in society today. Through the art of poetry, I was able to express my thoughts about a lot of the struggles many of us face in finding our identity. "Woke" speaks about some of the obstacles that many people face because of their circumstances in life. Woke: A Poetic Journey is not about one woman's journey, it's about our collective journey to find ourselves.
