Where The Sky Crashes Down

Bankstown in 1956 is a corrupt and lawless town on the outskirts of Sydney. Investigative reporting by the Sentinel, and its fearless editor, exposes the corruption of local crime czar, "e;Chilla"e; Mullins. When Mullins is killed and the Sentinel's editor murdered in retaliation, Suzie Mullins, Chilla s wild and capricious sister, inherits the newspaper and launches a crusade to bring down her brother s successor. Suzie s demure but resolute friend, Anouk Koning, the daughter of a corrupt cop, blows the whistle on Mullins s brothel, where an underage prostitute, Bambi Dodds, services a network of local dignitaries. When Bambi breaks free, Suzie protects her as she struggles to regain her lost childhood. Mullins s death throws his teenage lover, Lily Xing, into a downward spiral. Destitute and desperate, she hunts down her betrayers and becomes Suzie s nemesis. These four young women are caught in a web of violence and tragedy that, at any moment, could destroy them.
