Where the Road May Lead

Learning to cope is probably the hardest obstacle we face. A chronic condition causes great emotional turmoil as well as physical pain. There is a fear that wells up inside, leading you down a path of darkness. Anger enters with no reasonable explanation as to why this happened. There's loneliness, desperation, and for some, the loss of desire for life. Physical endurance decreases, but the mind hangs on to past activities, and the heart breaks for the loss. There is an overwhelming emptiness that others cannot see. By overcoming the changes, we can start applying ourselves to a new stage in life, making it just as successful as the prior.
