Welfare and behaviour of sheep in an intensive system

A literature review of animal welfare and analysis of the behaviour of sheep in an intensive production system. The publication of this study reveals how extreme situations alter a living being's biological system, what can develop as a result, what the signs of stress are, how they can be resolved, treated and, most importantly, prevented. The aim of this work is to delve into the concepts and definitions of animal welfare, how the topic is increasingly being discussed in animal production, and how it is an important part of improving animal performance and the demands of current and future consumers.
