The eldest was Henriette, who upon the arrival of the young Archduchess, Marie Antoinette, to wed the Dauphin, Louis XVI, was placed by the Duke de Choiseul with that Princess, as reader. She always remained with her and when that Princess became Queen, was married to M. Campan, and appointed Lady of the Bedchamber. Two younger sisters were afterwards placed near the Queen, who en dowed and married them, and became godmother for some of their children.
