Wages of War

A poignant love story set against the tumultuous backdrop of the 2nd World War in occupied France. John Wayneflete is an Englishman recruited as an agent for the SOE, who falls passionately in love with Simone, a beautiful young French girl who works undercover as a courier for the French Resistance. However, their time together is short as war soon intervenes to tear them apart and both must endure the full horrors of a country divided, and the brutality of the Nazi regime. The two can only hope that one day they will be reunited and only then will Simone be able to reveal the long-held secret she has kept from her lover for so long.
