Paolo Veronese (Palo Caliari, c. 1528-88) was one of the great Venetian painters. Veronese is known for his large-scale decorations of palaces and villas in and around Venice (which form one of the highlights of a visit to Venice today). Veronese was influenced by D rer, Titian and Parmigianino. His famous works include St Catherine, The Marriage Feast At Cana, and The Triumph of Venice., plus many paintings of Madonnas and Crucifixions.
