Gonteth (1925 - 2008): One of the greatest Spanish poets in the modern era, if not the greatest of them at all. He was received by a number of high -ranking literary awards, among them the Prince of Astorias Award (1985), the Queen Sofia Prize for Poetry (1996), the Federico Gardia Lorca Award for Poetry (2004), the Julian Bustiro Award for Art and Literature (2001), and other prestigious awards. It was also installed as a member of the Spanish Royal Academy, and worked to teach literature at New Mexico University.
