Unequal Before Birth

Maternity leave impacts us all, yet research has left out a group of mothers who are most impacted by the unpaid maternity leave policy in the U.S. In Unequal Before Birth, using a theoretical framework and an innovative methodology, Ja'Nya Jenoch argues that the experiences of low-income, racialized mothers should be included in the maternity leave policy debate.
