Long before 2020, when the world began grappling with a pervasive pandemic that resulted in widespread personal isolation, another

type of malevolence locked many women inside their homes. These poems address the devastating effects of domestic violence and seek

to restore one victim's voice, allowing her to speak to and through another generation of women.
