What can prayer be likened unto? For me, prayer can be likened to the air we breathe. In the natural, we breathe to live; in the spirit realm, we pray to live. And just like healthy human beings do not struggle to breathe and never see breathing as a burden, Christians should not struggle to pray and should never see praying as a burden. Jesus Christ, our perfect example, never saw prayer as a burden; in fact, prayer was His life He spent whole nights in prayer (Luke 6:12). He spent early hours in prayer (Mark 1:35). He prayed in the midst of activities (Luke 3:21). He literally breathed prayer; little wonder He dominated this material universe effortlessly. This, however, is not the experience of many. For many, prayer has become a herculean task and has therefore been left to a selected few. The reason for this is not far from a lack of understanding of the need for prayer, a relative lack of results from praying, and a lack of the Spirit of prayer. This void is what this series on prayer is set to fill. From 'Slings and Stones' to 'Truths about Prayer you probably never knew', eternal truths on prayer and victorious Christian living, intermingled with the Spirit of Prayer, have been set forth. The truth remains that the depth of the revelation you have determines the height of your ascent. In 'Other truths about prayer you probably never knew' therefore, God has provided you with some truths, which when you absorb, will translate to the revelations that will set your spirit at liberty to soar in the realms of glory. It is my prayer and expectation that your life will never remain the same after interacting with these realities from God's Word on the issue of prayer. See you... on the pages of 'Other truths about prayer you probably never knew.' God loves you.
