Tropical Freshwater Wetlands

Tropical Freshwater Wetlands deals with the sustainable management of some of the most valuable environmental assets available to developing countries, i.e. floodplains, marshes, swamps and shallow water bodies. The main types of tropical freshwater wetlands are described, their value is highlighted, and human intervention and its impact on wetlands are reviewed.
