Capitalist acceleration and the patriarchal organisation of labour have robbed us of life’s most vital resource: time. Caught within a toxic neoliberal grind culture that puts the burden of making and saving time squarely on the individual, we actually have less and less of it. To escape this unforgiving acceleration, Friederike Beier offers a new chronofeminist politics to reclaim time for care, rest, and democracy. She introduces novel perspectives on gender inequality, environmental destruction, and democratic decline.
