Time of Spellcasters

When Djorn opened his eyes in the full heat of a blazing sun, he found himself lying on a parched, rugged mountainside, experiencing a full memory loss. As he descends into what he feels is unfamiliar vegetation, his fears are compounded when he is confronted by a frightening alien creature. He discovers the creature is friendly and telepathic, and that despite its alienity, it is sentient and highly intelligent.
He is introduced into a civilization of people who are like himself, and he becomes caught up in a deadly conflict, where a monastery of dark sorcerers is aligned with a malevolent empire seeking to dominate the entirety of the continent.
As his mind clears and his confidence grows, he discovers he is imbued with an inherent tinge of sorcery, which he uses on for his own protection and that of his new friends. Eventually, he is drawn into extraordinary events, that lead to the return of his memory and astonishing changes.
