Thirteenth Floor

Daphne came to Paris to act in a film. She stayed at the Shangri-La Hotel. On her second night, a guest disappeared in the elevator. The security footage showed the elevator stopping at a floor that does not exist. Floor 13. A cloud of smoke. Then nothing.More guests vanished. Same floor. Same smoke.Daphne started taking photos of the surveillance tapes. The smoke had a shape. A standing shape.She told herself she would not ride that elevator at night. But after a long day of shooting, exhausted and alone, she stepped inside.The doors closed.The lights flickered.And the button for Floor 13 lit up by itself.
